Commentary:

Recently, I attended two very important meetings in DC. One was a prayer meeting hosted by the Family Research Council, and focused on a matter which I am ashamed to have neglected -- the looming takeover of our Country by the homosexual activists and their acolytes.

The other concerned a variety of important political figures and issues. What stood out to me was a comment by former Lt. Col. Allen West, R-FL (he is a dynamic Christian patriot who is emerging as a fresh new leader in the House of Representatives). He said, "There is a bankruptcy in our economy." Perhaps more importantly, he then added that there is also a "bankruptcy in our culture." His comments were received with thunderous applause.

As I said recently, if God doesn't intervene soon, it will become UNBEARABLE for true Biblical Christians to live in America (not that there is anywhere else to go).

Brethren, we must RESPOND and PUSH BACK. We must PRAY with all our hearts! If we don't, we will have no one else to blame but ourselves.

Commentary:

Yesterday, I was talking with Pierre Bynum at the Family Research Council.  He noted that the Evil seems to be coming faster and faster.  I commented that this may be because President Obama may believe he could be defeated in 2012, so he is pressing his anti-Christ agenda with GREATER URGENCY.

Brethren, if there is not REPENTANCE from the White House down, things are soon going to become unbearable in America.  Except for the Economy, most pagans will not even notice this. We must be able to discern how God is warning us by sending "remedial" judgments in the form of wildfires, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, droughts, and other so-called "NATURAL" DISASTERS. 

There are also "SPIRITUAL" DISASTERS. These include rampant homosexuality, catastrophic abortions, lawlessness, economic turmoil, joblessness, violence, kidnappings, family breakdowns and the absence of God's Word (see Amos 8:11).

But, it is not just pagans who are not discerning what is happening. It's also (and most importantly) the Christians, especially Pastors, Priests and Leaders who seem to be oblivious or careless about the Word of God and its warnings about God's Wrath and Judgments.  They are not warning God's People.

What can we do about what seems to be almost hopeless? We can run to 2 Chronicles 7:14 which God spoke to Solomon in the midst of serious judgments (see verse 13):

If My people who are called by My name

will humble themselves,

and pray and seek My face,

and turn from their wicked ways,

then I will hear from heaven,

and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

His answer is that His People must repent, pray, seek Him and turn from their wicked ways. Then He promises to "hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land". In verse 15, He says that if these steps are taken, His eyes will be open and He will hear our prayers. This implies that He isn't hearing our prayers much because His Church isn't walking in His Ways.

Brethren, this is not a hopeless situation! Wherever I go people say, "We need revival!" How true that is! Until the Church awakens and does its job, things may become more and more wicked and perverse, and His judgment may increase until we snap out of it, pay attention to His Ways and follow  2 Chronicles 7:13-15.

We have been praying for months for God to bring forth His Choice to be the next President, replacing (thank God) Barack Obama and his Marxist and perverse thugs!

Perhaps this is beginning. Texas Governor Rick Perry (R) has called for a SOLEMN ASSEMBLY on August 6^th, in Houston. Solemn Assemblies are one of God's choicest and most Reviving means of Grace. Please see His reference to Solemn Assemblies in Joel, when Israel was in a state not dissimilar from ours today, as the locusts were in the process of destroying the Nation. Only the Nation's return to the Lord could avert imminent destruction. Brethren, this is more than HUGE! It is COLOSSAL. Governor Perry has invited the other 49 Governors to attend. Is this a prelude to his launching a Presidential Campaign? If he is God's man, may it be just that!

After coming back from the conference in Texas at which I spoke, and attending a meeting in D.C. yesterday (Wednesday), and reading and listening to commentators, I am a DESPERATE MAN!!!

We need to Pray DESPERATELY, because I sense that EVIL is threatening to overcome GOOD. Things are about to come unraveled. As Faye Hardin (Insight USA), the organizer of the Texas meeting, stated: "Only God Can Save America." She's absolutely right!

The Church seems to be catching on! Charles Stanley, one of our foremost leaders, has written a book which calls the Church to PRAYER and ACTION. The book is entitled Turning the Tide: Real Hope, Real Change.

Thanks be to God! Stanley calls Christians "to get down on their knees to pray, then get up on their feet and become involved." 

Stanley also urges, "It's time that we take responsibility for the direction of our Country and become involved both at a civil level and through fervent prayer." (Emphases mine) 

AMEN! AMEN! PRAY ABOUT THIS, THANKING THE LORD. MAY THIS REVELATION SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE AROUND THE LEADERS OF HIS CHURCH! THIS IS REALLY THE ONLY HOPE FOR AMERICA.

Matthew Henry:

"They not only do evil, but justify it, and applaud it, and recommend it to others as trustworthy and good." (Ed Comment: Note that God talks about "WOES".) 

Commentary:

We are engaged in a BATTLE of Good vs. Evil. Clearly, to any thinking Christian, the Obama Administration, its allies in Congress and their cronies in the media are on the side of "Evil".  As Intercessors, we must push back with Prayer on the side of "Good".

I heard Senator Mitch McConnell, R-KY, say that these Democrat leaders, apparatchiks and functionaries (with the assistance of George Soros and people like him) are "brazen"… dedicated to winning the next election at all costs. The costs would include Truth, Justice, Righteousness, Goodness and our Constitution.

To further dramatize the crises, recently I heard the following:

• "We are at the edge of a cliff, financially"  (Senator Jim DeMint, R-SC)
• Our country is "slipping away" (Senator Rand Paul, R-KY)
• "We are losing our Nation" (Neil Cavuto, Fox News)  

In a  recent Prayer Alert, I mentioned how God said He would leave us "a very small remnant" so that we would not become completely like Sodom and Gomorrah and have to be destroyed (see Isaiah 1:9). Will you join the "Remnant"?

BRETHREN WE MUST CRY OUT NOW! We cannot sit idly by and look away from what's coming, perhaps is already here. These men are absolutely right. We are hanging by a thread! Remember Jonathan Edwards and his sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God", hanging by a thread over the pit of Hell. That threat is very real today.

Today, President Obama imperiously decreed that Israel must return to its 1967 boarders (which are totally indefensible). He also implied Israel will have to give up Jerusalem and permit Palestinians the "right of return" to Israel. In effect, this is a declaration of war against Israel by an American President; we can only expect a very Angry God to respond to this. God help us! God help Israel! (see Gen 12:3)

THE BATTLE IS ENGAGED! WE MUST BE INVOLVED WITH OUR PRAYERS AND DEDICATION TO GOOD, AS OPPOSED TO EVIL.

 "For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble …you also helping together in prayer for us" (2 Cor 1:8, 11)

Matthew Henry:

"Paul desired the Corinthians to help together by prayer for them (v. 11), by group prayer, agreeing and joining together in prayer on their behalf… We should pray for ourselves and for one another. Paul had a great interest in the throne of grace, yet he desires the help of others’ prayers. If we thus help one another by our prayers, we may hope for occasions for many to give thanksfor answers to prayer."  

Commentary:

In the scripture above, Paul was writing to the Corinthian church while experiencing grave troubles. As you can tell from Matthew Henry's Commentary, Paul was addressing a CHURCH, asking it to PRAY for his well-being and the advancement of his mission.

The same principle has been true since Paul penned it. While private and personal prayer is certainly significant, the Lord convinced Paul to seek prayerful help from his brethren who were meeting together in church, on the Sabbath and probably other occasions.

Jesus calls this a "House of Prayer". In my opinion, one of the prime reasons for the troubles we are experiencing today is a lack of PRAYER in our churches, not just for ourselves and our particular church needs. Paul's letter tells us we are to CARE about and PRAY about people and matters outside of our four walls.

"How could one have chased a thousand,
   and two have put ten thousand to flight" (Deut 32:30

Commentary:

We believe our Prayers can "Change History"! In fact, whether we are Praying in large groups, small groups or privately, God will hear our Prayers and Act. We must have EXPECTATION. 

Allow the Lord to encourage you in this regard:

He will "save by many or by few." (I Sam 14:6) 

In fact, "nothing can hinder" Him! NOTHING! NOTHING!

This passage comes from the story of Jonathan and his armor bearer who singlehandedly scattered and destroyed God's enemies.

As Jonathan and his armor bearer stepped out, the Lord's Power was so incredible that there was great trembling amongst their enemies as well as an earthquake.

Matthew Henry has some very instructive comments which should encourage our band of Pray-ers:

• "It is an invisible power that sets bounds to the malice of the church's enemies…"

• "There is no restraint in the Lord, no limitation to the holy One of Israel, but it is easy for Him to save by many or by few."

• "Let this passage strengthen the weak and encourage the timid; may we plead with God to enforce our heart cries and silence our doubts; It is nothing with God to help, whether with many or with those that have no power. (2 Chron 14:11)"

• "Who knows? He can use us for His Glory.  It may be the Lord will work for us, work with us, work a Sign or Miracle for us."

• "We have reason to think that Jonathan felt a Divine impulse and impression, setting him upon this bold adventure…"

• "Perhaps he had an actual regard to that Word of Joshua (Josh 23:10), One man of you shall chase a thousand, borrowed from Moses (Deut 32:30)."

So, we must have Faith that God gave us stories like these to encourage our Faith and Prayers. It seems to be unimportant to the Lord whether we have massive numbers Praying or just a few. What seems to matter is our FAITH, Continuous and Dedicated PRAYER and EXPECTATION that our petitions will "Change History".

Again, please join as together we CRY OUT for GOD's INTERVENTION!

Commentary:

There is a lot about which to CRY OUT. The awesome storms in our Nation are examples. Think about the tornadoes, floods and earthquakes. From my perspective, the recent outbreaks of violent catastrophes in the United States and Japan are from God. He is trying to get our attention and, I am afraid, to no avail. Where are the prophets? (Amos 3:7 and Amos 8:11-12)

Reading Scripture carefully, I can come to no other conclusion. God warns us repeatedly that if we do not "repent and turn" we will be judged and "ruin and destruction" will come upon us.

Tornadoes (whirlwinds), storms and earthquakes are some of the disasters we can expect if we do not pay attention and TURN. (We must pay attention or these attempts to awaken us will only become more severe.)

'Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin'..… all this disaster has come upon us; yet we have not made our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities." "Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD has gone forth in fury—

      Who will bring them down to the earth with His hand." (Isaiah 28:2)

"You will be punished by the LORD of hosts

      With storm and tempest" (Isaiah 29:6)

"The LORD will cause His glorious voice to be heard,
      And show the descent of His arm,
      With the indignation of His anger

      And with His chariots, like a whirlwind,

"What does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul" (Deut 10:12)

While we are rightfully engaged in PRAYER for a myriad of very important topics (Pro-Life, Israel, Elections, the Economy, etc.), I am sure you agree that the root issue is: "We have kicked God out of our country!"

Commentary:

It appears that the whole world is about to come against Israel. 

Attached are Videos and Articles which explain what's going on. The UN, EU and even our own Administration are colluding.

As you will see from the Videos and Articles, their plan is to cooperate with the Palestinian Authority (PA) and autocratically declare Palestine to be a sovereign state. 

They will even demand that Israel release a good portion of its land (including much of Jerusalem) and return to its 1967 borders (see Joel 3:2).

The so-called "Peace Process" has been shelved. The PA has purposely stopped any further negotiations with Israel regarding Peace, since it has no intention of pursuing that path.  The new so-called "State" will not even have to acknowledge that Israel is a Jewish Nation, leaving Israel subject to any attacks at any time.

According to the Lord, God's Wrath will be released upon the nations which will have engaged in this conspiracy (see Gen 12:3; Zech 12:9; Zech 2:1-9).

THEREFORE, FERVENT CRYING OUT TO GOD TO INTERVENE IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE! (see Isaiah 28:21)

I usually do not say things like this, but we are all REQUIRED to PRAY for Israel! Once warned, we have no excuse if we fail to pray, especially when Israel is in grave danger. (see Ps 122:6-9)

Wisconsin will vote TODAY (Tuesday) for a seat on the state Supreme Court. This judicial election will determine the ideological composition of the Court and will cause the majority to be either conservative or ultra-liberal. 

PLEASE PRAY FOR JUSTICE DAVID PROSSER, WHO IS CURRENTLY A MEMBER OF THE COURT'S 4 TO 3 CONSERVATIVE MAJORITY! 

If his opponent should prevail, all efforts to restore sanity to Wisconsin's financial situation will come to an end in the Supreme Court.
