The “Hostile Takeover” of America
Hostility toward God is evident in our culture. Our nation is ruled by people, and by a culture, that hates and rejects the God of the Bible.
They HATE LIFE: All those who hate Me love death. (Prov 8:36b)
They desire POWER: The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD (Ps 2:1-2a)
They HATE TRUTH: They will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. (2Tim 4:4) [and see Rom 1:25]
[T]he sinful mind is hostile to God. (Rom 8:7a); The wicked watches the righteous, And seeks to slay him. (Ps 37:32); Why do wicked people renounce God? They say in their hearts, ‘God will not require an account.’ (Ps 10:13 paraphrase)
